This report out of Cleveland says the Patriots won't trade Garoppolo to the Browns unless they get No. 1 overall. https://t.co/ljm7KPPnDh

Not one, but two blue check marks reporting that Bill Belichick and the Patriots will accept nothing less than the #1 overall pick in this years draft in exchange for a back up quarterback with about six quarters of real NFL experience under his belt. If this were the asking price of anyone other than Belichick they would probably be admitted into a mental hospital under the suspicion of suffering from a severe and dangerou delusional disorder.
This is more likely the Patriots doubling down and reiterating that they are going to have to be BLOWN AWAY by an offer if they are going to relinquish the services of Jimmy Garopollo. I almost feel bad for the Browns as it is clear that they believe Jimmy G could finally end their quarterback woes.
I mean there are only so many names that mannequin can hold before toppling over at the sheer weight of all of that failure. Browns GM Sashi Brown’s head must be spinning trying to figure out how many second round draft picks (in addition to the twelfth pick) he’s going to have to hand over to finally appease Bill Belichick.
My guess is that whatever the Browns offer, whether it be the #1 overall pick or the twelfth and a gaggle of second rounders, Belichick is simply going to scoff in the Browns face and demand eleven 4th round pick picks instead. After all, we all know how much the hooded one loves his 4th round selections.
Whether Garoppolo gets traded or not it’s safe to say the Patriots asking for the #1 pick is unrealistic and probably just a ploy to drive up the price and make the Browns sweat. Even a random NFL reporter with a blue check mark named Benjamin Allbright backs up my claim-

I don’t know who told Benny this information but if there are quotes around it that must mean it’s pretty legit or you know maybe he just overheard this guy say it-
Regardless, if you blindly trust blue Twitter check marks (as you should) consider the possibilities of the Patriots nabbing the #1 pick as slim to none.
