Looks like we are going to just have contradicting reports until something happens when it comes to Patriots QB Jimmy Garoppolo. Last week it was reported that the Patriots would not be dealing the back up QB, perhaps it was to increase the asking price, but now we know what they do want.
According to NFL reporter Mike Garafolo, the asking price has been set for Jimmy Garoppolo:
Report: Patriots asking price for Jimmy Garoppolo:

– 2018 1st round pick

Two first round draft picks is the asking price, one in 2017 and one in 2018.
“Someone somewhat connected to the situation said it’s probably going to have to be a first round pick this year and then a first round pick again next year,” said Garafolo.
Garafolo also notes that the Patriots are not looking at this offseason as a deadline to trade Garoppolo. Rather, he says that the team could always franchise him in 2018 and elect to trade him then if they so choose.[shopify embed_type=”product” shop=”off-the-monster-shop.myshopify.com” product_handle=”super-bowl-g-o-a-t-tee-shirt” show=”all”]
