In a move that comes as a shocker, the Houston Texans Have decided to trade their franchise quarterback to the Cleveland Browns along with a 2nd round draft pick in 2018.
Stunner: Texans trade Brock Osweiler AND 2018 2nd-rd pick to CLEV for Browns to take Osweiler contract off Houston books, sources tell ESPN.

The trade will completely take Osweiler’s money off the books for Houston. The move also will have some implications on the Patriots as the Browns are now officially out of the market for a quarterback, at least for now, Osweiler only has 1 more year of guaranteed money left on his contract, after that he can be cut.
Talk about Houston just throwing Osweiler out there and begging for someone else to take on his ludicrous contract. The move is actually a smart one for the Browns, if Garoppolo wasn’t feasible for them this year, Osweiler makes sense, Osweiler only has one more season left of guaranteed money, so it is technically possible they try to get Garoppolo next season. They can use the draft to build defensively as well as free agency. The Browns had $100m in cap space available to them for the upcoming season.
This move also means that Tony Romo will most likely be staying in the state of Texas by winding up in Houston.
According to Mike Giardi of CSNNE.com, Osweiler privately told people he should have never left the Broncos. That signing with Houston was a mistake. GEE, ya think?!? Greedy bastard is getting a dose of reality now, enjoy Cleveland!
