Jay Glazer was all over this report this morning, as you all have probably heard by now, Tom Brady’s Super Bowl jerseys have been found. That’s right, not only did they located the missing jersey from Super Bowl 51, but they also found the jersey from Super Bowl 49 as well.
Both jerseys were snagged by an international media member that had access to the Super Bowl as a member of the media during the last 3 Super Bowls. This member was traced back to Mexico where they found the stolen memorabilia.
This is the footage they used to crack down on the culprit and apparently the footage that sparked the search of this media member. Update: The mans name is Mauricio Ortega — a former executive at a Mexican news organization called “Diario La Prensa.”
I would give anything to see how this bust went down. I envision something out of ‘Zero Dark Thirty’. Troops getting helicoptered on to the property late at night, door rammed in, troops storm through the door, grab this guy and demand the jersey. Anything less than this type of scenario would be so disappointing, but this is how I envision this going down.
This guy either has the biggest cojones on the planet, or he is just a professional klepto. Talk about a ballsy operation. It’s one thing to get away with this once in Super Bowl 49, but he also pulled it off in Super Bowl 51. There are also reports that this guy is responsible for the missing helmet of Von Miller last year in Super Bowl 50. The NFL is so worried about letting small guys like us into the Super Bowl that they let clowns like this get through the cracks and most definitely ruin it for everyone.
